The steps and process in order to update the firmware of your Ecoflow device.
Why does one need to update the firmware?
A Firmware update improves the functionality and features of your device. It can provide fixes to any performance issues that may occur. With the ever-changing advances in technology, a firmware update also helps a device remain competitive with newer models.
Step 1:
Download the Ecoflow app on Play store.
Step 2:
When going into the app you will have to create an account, after that you need to press on the + to add a device to your account. You can have multiple devices linked to your account.
Step 3:
Select your unit from the available options.
Step 4:
Connect the unit to the internet via your cell phone by holding in the IOT RESET button until you hear a beep.
Step 5:
The following images will appear on your App when connecting the Ecoflow unit to the Wi-Fi.
Once successfully connected you will get this image below:
Step 6:
After successfully connecting your Ecoflow unit to the Wi-Fi, you will see that the unit is now linked to your account.
Step 7:
Tap and select the unit and the following screen will appear.
Step 8:
Select the gear icon and then select Firmware.
Step 9:
After selecting firmware, the device will state if it needs a firmware update. There are two available updates and when doing both updates please make sure that the unit is not AC charging the batteries and that there is no output connected to it.
Note: When updating the device do not switch your phone off or the device before it completed the update.
