How to setup and commission an Enerlog with an ATESS

Enerlog

Step 1:

Connect the power supply to the Enerlog.

Step 2:

Connect the Enerlog to a network with a straight ethernet cable to port (L).

 Step 3:

Once the Enerlog is connected to a network, connect your laptop to that same network.

This can be done through Wifi or a straight ethernet cable into the same router that the Enerlog is connected to. Once your laptop is connected to the same network as the Enerlog, use an IP scanner such as advanced IP scanner to scan for the Enerlogs IP address.

https://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/

Once you have found the Enerlogs IP address, open chrome and enter the IP into the URL

If you have the correct IP address you will see the screen below.

Step 4:

Once you have successfully connected to the Enerlog you can login to the device, the password is

Username: admin

Password: admin

Step 5:

On the ATESS locate the below control board PCB.

On the PCB you will see three green connector blocks next to each other.

The enerlog will connect to RS485-A and RS485-B, you can use any 2 wires from a shielded cat6 cable for this to block out any interference.

On the enerlog you will connect the same 2 wires on RS845 port, there are 3 channels which any can be used, the 4th channel is for debugging and cant be used.

After you have connected to one of the 3 channels you can open the browser on your laptop onto the Enerlog settings interface.

 Step 6:

On the Enerlog interface page, you can go to Add device to add the ATESS inverter.

You will need to select the following settings.

Type – ATESS Inverter

RS485 – Whichever port you have connected it to(Port 1 – 3)

Address - 1

From the above example, I have connected it to RS485 port 1

After you select Add, it will give you a prompt saying success.

Step 7:

Go to ‘Datalogger Information’ to confirm that you are connected online.

You will also need to verify the Enerlogs serial number under Datalogger information.

After confirming this you can go to ‘Device state’ to see if the Enerlog picks up the ATESS. You will be able to see the ATESS serial number if its successful.
